Dr. Anish Andheria
Anish is the President of the Wildlife Conservation Trust (WCT), which works across 160 national parks and wildlife sanctuaries in 23 Indian states. A large carnivore biologist, he specializes in predator-prey dynamics and has contributed to numerous conservation projects. He holds a Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and a master’s in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from NCBS, Bengaluru. He received the Carl Zeiss Conservation Award (2008) and the UAA-ICT Distinguished Alumnus Award (2017) and played a key role in founding Kids for Tigers.
Dr. Jayashree Ratnam
Jayashree Ratnam is the Program Director of the Wildlife Biology and Conservation Program at NCBS, TIFR. A community and ecosystems ecologist, she specializes in tropical terrestrial ecosystems across Africa and Asia. Her research focuses on the history, ecology, and conservation of Asian savannas, grasslands, and forest-grassland mosaics, emphasizing their role as ancient human-natural ecosystems that require integrated management for biodiversity & sustainable use.
