WCS India Program is hiring interns under a project on the conservation of endangered lion-tailed macaques in the Western Ghats.

The project involves questionnaire-based and field-based surveys in multiple sites across Kerala and Karnataka. Selected candidates will be required to travel extensively, interact with local communities and conduct questionnaire and field-based surveys as per a pre-determined scientific protocol.

Essential qualification : We are looking for candidates who have prior field experience with wildlife research or conservation. They should be fluent in speaking Malayalam and/or Kannada. Knowledge of MS Excel, and ability to drive a vehicle, or ride a motorcycle with valid driver’s licence, is desirable. Candidates with good inter-personal skills and can commit for a minimum period of two-months are encouraged to apply.

The position is open with immediate effect. Renumeration will be decided based on candidate qualification and experience. Accommodation and food expenses in the field will be covered by the project.
