WCS-India meets the Kerala PCCF (Wildlife) & CWW, Mr Surendra Kumar, IFS
October 11, 2019: Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) & Chief Wildlife Warden of Kerala Forest Department, Mr. Surendra met with WCS-India team Ms Prakriti Srivastava, IFS (Country Director) along with Mr Venu Parameshwar (Finance Director), Dr Vardhan Patankar (Head, Marine Conservation Program), Mr Avik Banerjee (Project Associate), Ms Zoya Tyabji (Project Associate), Mr. Karan Deshpande (Project Assistant) and Ms Paromita Ray (Head Ecotourism), Mr Vishal Rasal (Project Associate, Ecotourism), Dr Devcharan Jathanna (Associate Director), Mr Killivalavan Rayar (Assistant Director), Ms.Mridula Vijairaghavan (Legal Advisor), Ms Sushma Sharma (Project Assistant, Dhole Project) in the WCS-India head office.
There was constructive interaction on common concerns of conservation including combatting wildlife trafficking as well as protection of marine habitats and species. The way forward to collaborate on these issues for positive conservation actions was discussed with the CWW.
