Position: Nature Discovery Centre (Facility) Manager

Station: Biswanath Ghat, Assam

Qualifications:

Essential:

MBA in relevant subject (preferably Management, Business, Development, Hospitality, Social Sciences, Environment Management)

OR M. Sc. in relevant subject (preferably Management, Business, Development, Hospitality, Social Sciences, Environment Management)

Fluent in speaking and writing English and Assamese

Minimum age: 30 years

Desirable:

Previous experience working for a Non-Profit and/or in the field of conservation/eco-tourism/eco-business

Strong communication skills

Working interest in conservation/herpetology/education

Job responsibilities:

1. Supervise day-to-day logistics of development and maintenance of Nature Discovery Centre Building
2. Develop, maintain and submit regular accounts, equipment records, reports/regular updates, staff daily duty cards
3. Conduct and/or supervise various education and conservation activities at the centre on a regular basis
4. Liaise with government and private organizations to initiate, maintain and further develop project

Additional information:

• Position is based in Biswanath Ghat but may occasionally involve travel to Project office in Lucknow
• Position will involve three month probationary period, after which performance will be evaluated and a permanent position will be offered

Compensation: Rs. 25,000 (all inclusive) with modest field accommodation
