Mridula joine WCS-India in 2018. She works as a Legal Advisor with a focus on wild life law. After completing her B.B.A., L.L.B at Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2016, she has been involved in environmental litigation before the National Green Tribunal and various other courts over the past two years. She has taken on litigation against large development projects, which threaten to destroy Protected Areas in various states. Her primary area of litigation has been Environment Impact Assessments and forest law with the aim of conserving landscapes.
Her overarching interest is in bridging the gap between the law and the field, striving towards plugging legal loopholes and better implementation of environmental laws in India.
